TSL Professional Products to debut Broadcast and Audio Solutions for Asian Market at KOBA 2013
SEOUL, KOREA, MAY 3, 2013 – TSL Professional Products Ltd. (PPL), manufacturer of surround sound microphones and processing, audio monitoring, universal control systems and power management solutions for the broadcast industry, is pleased to present its latest range of audio, loudness, control, distribution and surround sound products for the first time in Asia, at KOBA 2013 (Stand D511).
SoundField DSF-B digital broadcast package:
Broadcasters looking to capture exciting, stereo compatible surround sound in one simple step should evaluate TSL PPL’s SoundField’s DSF-B package. Consisting of a DSF-2 surround microphone, DSF-2 controller and DSF-3 processor, this package provides a cost effective and highly configurable means of creating simultaneous digital surround and stereo ambiences for large and small, live broadcast events.
SoundField UPM-1 stereo to 5.1 converter processor:
Sometimes creating a true 5.1 mix is just not viable, either because the program has already been created in Stereo or because the budget just doesn’t stretch. The SoundField UPM-1 and X-1 – stereo to 5.1 upmix devices – are here to help you create high quality 5.1 from any Stereo material. The SoundField upmix devices create exciting, stereo compatible surround.
SAM1-3GM audio monitoring unit:
The SAM1-3GM is a flexible, intuitive audio monitoring system that offers seamless operation in settings ranging from multilanguage and surround sound/stereo production to live sports and event broadcasting. The SAM1-3GM provides instant visual feedback from 16 channel sources of embedded SDI. Additionally, two auxiliary analog or AES input channels can be mixed into the monitoring chain, which allows users to listen to external sources such as intercom.
Monitor Plus Family audio monitoring units:
The Monitor Plus Family offers robust entry-level audio monitoring, with the same performance elements found in TSL PPL’s high-end confidence monitoring line. On display at KOBA 2013, will be the MPA1-3G, which provides comprehensive de-embedding capabilities and accepts any SD- or HD-SDI signal up to and including 3G. TSL PPL will also exhibit the MPA1-ASB+ and –ASC+ units, which are available in dual- or eight-stereo-input versions and are built around a brand-new hardware platform.
PAM PiCo Five:
The compact PAM PiCo Five, complete with revolutionary StarFish™ surround sound display, allows for real time logging of all relevant loudness parameters, including high and low loudness levels, peak-level and corresponding peak channel, as well as integrated loudness. The new logging software application provides instant documentation, visualization and evaluation of any source passing through the meter unit. Session data may be exported as a PDF or CSV files, to streamline the creation of loudness data documents for presentations on compliance.
The PAM PiCo Five joins the PAM PiCo family which are simple to use and easy to configure. The PAM PiCo line places high-quality metering within reach of anyone working in sound production.
TallyMan Cross equipment Communication:
TSL PPL’s TallyMan is designed to control and coordinate crucial infrastructure components, including routers, vision switchers, cameras, audio monitoring, power distribution and talkback systems, to provide seamless cross-equipment communications. Featured at KOBA 2013 will be the TallyMan (push-button) TMCP Control Panels, which provide both a common workflow for engineering operators and the capability of addressing virtually limitless numbers of routers and control units. Through either a desktop virtual panel or a tactile and easy-to-install hardware panel, the units interface with any third-party router, or router control panels, and can be easily integrated into existing infrastructures.
Vertical Intelligent Power (VIP) Power Distribution Units (PDU):
The VIP Power Distribution Unit delivers all the functionality of TSL PPL’s powerful rack mount PDU systems, but in a modular, custom-configurable, vertical format that streamlines the installation process. Instead of having to measure, solder and cut connecting power cables for each piece of rack equipment, which can take up to a half man-day of time per rack, the VIP mounts vertically to the mounting strip hardware on the back of a rack unit, so that only existing AC cables are required for each piece of gear. Also on display will be TSL PPL’s entire line of Power Manager Mains Distribution Units that provide flexible solutions for power management requirements, including Eco Power mapping for those seeking energy and cost efficiency.
